 Project Sam is the first of many Like A Daisy initiatives, endorsed by the Archdiocese, seeking to reconnect individuals with disabilities to their Orthodox faith.  Archangel Michael Church was the first church to participate, and we currently have 13 additional churches who are participating in the advocacy/outreach program. 

 A unique Sunday School experience for individuals with disabilities, which includes a prayer service with Holy Communion, teaching the importance of faith, as well as activities such as arts and crafts or basketball in the gym, fostering relationships, and integrating individuals with disabilities into parish life.  

Night to Shine is a prom for individuals with disabilities, offered on one night a year at over 700 locations, in partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation.  Archangel Michael Church has hosted this extraordinary event for the past 2 years thanks to Like A Daisy funding.  

The hosts of AMC's Night to Shine, invite individuals with disabilities and their loved ones to AMC's Greek Orthodox Festival Special Sunday Event on September 28th from 11AM-12PM.  Featuring an hour of free rides and food for individuals with disabilities and their families/caregivers to enjoy before it is opened to the public. 

We made history, as we included Greek Orthodox individuals with disabilities and their families to be a part of the Greek Independence Day Parade on the Like A Daisy Float, waving to spectators as they cruised down 5th Avenue, while spreading awareness of the AMC Special Needs Ministry programs. 

This amazing collaboration supports both Like A Daisy and Luv Michael in their efforts to enhance the lives of autistic and disabled communities. 50% of the proceeds for the Like A Daisy bracelet will support each organization. Each bracelet is handmade by a young adult on the autism spectrum with love and shipped to you.

Two nonprofit organizations, Luv Michael and Surfers Healing, hosted an event in the Hamptons, offering a day of surfing for families with loved ones on the spectrum.  Like A Daisy was a proud sponsor of this awesome event!
